Why such a "thick" cable ?
You only need some serial cable to get all the data.
Station a battery on the lauch stand so that you
do not have to deal with IR drop from the block-house
(Optional).
Build a small telemetry connect box to receive all the
data from on-board electronics (As I understand this
may mean some modifications for on board systems ?)
Serialize data back to block house.
Control can be easily coded/decoded across same link.

Why a mechanical relay in a vibrartion environment ?
Why not a Solid State Relay ?
