If you don't see discussion of practical problems here, it generally means
that -- to the extent that they are being thought about at all yet -- they
are being discussed in person. It is unfortunate, but true, that there's
a real limit to how much you can participate in that from afar.
It is also unfortunate, but true, that time spent typing postings for a
mailing list is time not spent building hardware. (Fast typist though I
am, I'm starting to ponder severely scaling back my participation in
netnews and mailing lists, in the interests of getting some long-delayed
things done.)
