In a September or August issue of Aviation Week, Rutan unveiled a new aircraft. He wouldn't disclose the purpose of the aircraft, but I would guess it was his XPRIZE carrier.
It's similar to that of the Proteus only the main structure is several feet higher off the ground to allow for a larger vehicle to be placed on the main structural spar.
