I've seen details on the V-2 system somewhere or other... The electronics
can, of course, be improved on quite considerably at trivial cost. The
gyros and related hardware, however, are still precision machinery which
would have a serious price tag. High-precision mechanical stuff has, if
anything, gotten more expensive.
