>Just for perspective, does any one have a picture or description of the >V2 guidance system. Any idea of how much it would cost to build today? >Have guidance systems actually become less expensive in the same way as >other devices have? > I have a set of photographs taken in the dueches museum in munich. The fin controls are quite elegant and made from bycycle chain and sproket gearing. There apears to be some sort of sensor pakages that connect to a servo motor of some sort.
The photographs are first generation digital. If you want I can put them onto a floppy and bring them to the meeting thursday. They are a bit much to email with my slow connection. I was quite surprised how big these birds were. I think though Randall hit the point when he refered to compactness of scale and materials. So unless one is working with calvenite and unobtanium the mass fraction and orbital ISP has the same limits it did some 60++ years ago. -julie _______________________________________________ ERPS-list mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.erps.org/mailman/listinfo/erps-list
