At the ERPS meeting before last, I mentioned the Wall of Honor to a
few people. My first notice of it was seeing an advert in _Air and Space:
Smithsonian_. I've now visited the Web site and have a clearer picture of
what it's all about. I mention it here so everyone will get the word.

The Wall of Honor will be located at the NASM annex, called the
Udvar-Hazy Center, slated to open at Dulles Airport late next year. It will
consist of a series of curved pedestals along the walkways there.

Anyone can submit the name of someone who was dedicated to or
inspired by flight in air or space. (See the Web site for exact wording.)
The idea of this is basically donations. The submitter contributes $100,
$500 or $1,000 to reserve a space where their honoree's name and brief
profile will be inscribed on a plaque. Obviously, for a larger contribution
you get a more ornate plaque.
