DOCUMENTATION
-------------
Chris Winter
Rick is working on scanning the BECCO manual, and on re-
scanning certain photographs from the Rocketdyne report.
Chris has completed a "map" of the 2002 CD-ROM, and a list of
potential additions to the 2003 CD-ROM. He will now begin to winnow
down the list, eliminating the irrelevant or inferior titles and those for
which there are copyright issues.
Kevin is working on collecting an electronic copy of NASA SP-
125 -- the original version of Huzel & Huang.
INFOTECH
--------
Sean Lynch
Sean reported that the Klez virus carrier on the mailing list has
been informed and has cleaned his system.
Steve is in the process of improving the electrical power
distribution and revamping the computer firewalls at CDI.
LIAISON & PAO
-------------
Michael Wallis
The deadline for submitting abstracts of our ISDC papers has
been extended to January 9, 2003. Adrian and Michael will work on this.
Henry Vanderbilt has released a new Space Access Update, and
announced the SA '03 conference for the usual time next year. It will be
in the Holiday Inn Old Town, Scottsdale, AZ (now under new
management).
Michael is contemplating some way to commemorate the tenth
anniversary of ERPS next February.

TREASURER
---------
Michael Wallis
Anyone with receipts for donations made during the past year
should get them to Michael before 31 December in order to guarantee
their 2002 tax deductions.
CHIEF SCIENTIST
---------------
Kevin Bollinger
Kevin Mentioned a rad-hard, ultra-low-power microprocessor: the
MSP-430 (Texas Instruments). Operating at 8MHz, this CMOS
processor draws approximately 0.25 mA and costs less than $20.

SMARTFLIGHT
-----------
Dave Weinshenker
Dave and Sean solved the power supply problem with the
telemetry data system they are developing. They also discovered that the
oscillator crystal, labeled as 20MHz, was actually 2.0MHz. This caused
incorrect UART clocking signals. The proper crystal was obtained, and
the PIC computer now communicates over the serial bus.
Spike
-----
Sean Lynch
There will be a Spike meeting at Sean's house tomorrow.

NEW BUSINESS
------------
Steve is reorganizing his business, Terraluna Aerospace, with
possible implications for ERPS. More definite information will be available
in January.
The Redwood City Harry's Hofbrau appears to be an inconvenient
location for a majority of the members. We expect to meet next time at
the HH in San Jose.
Meeting #249 adjourned at 9:38 PM. The next meeting will take place on
2 January 2003. Watch the list for location.
Respectfully submitted,
Chris Winter
