Actually, the original plan was to provide adapters for the "standard"
interfaces on all competing launch vehicles so if your satellite was
originally designed to go on an Arienne we'd have the adapter to
support your hookups aand that would anchor to our bay. Newer payloads
would likely be built to our published spec.

Huh? A pilot's time is FLIGHT time, not turn time. and he/she's only
up that long if the flight is going to LEO. Most flights won't, being
SSSO "hops" across the p/o/n/d/ Pacific or some such.
