You're daft man.  Launch it as water ice, melt it, and split it with
solar power wherever you need hydrogen.

Umm, no. Water is 89% oxygen and only 11% hydrogen, by mass. Methane is a bit better, at 25% hydrogen. LH2 is not sufficiently troublesome to make either a worthwhile proposition.
