That's not your cargo; it's merely in your trust.

Hey, I bought it; it's mine. What are you, a communist ;-)

If you violate that
trust, you're going to have a hell of a time getting it back again.

True, but I have a cunning plan, I'd buy a different cargo, that one's no good anymore on account of it, in the most likely probability, excessively wet. ;-)

Provided the cargo isn't valuable, it matters a little less if you lose the vehicle towards the end of its life.

WADR, no. It is never OK to lose a vehicle in revenue service.

Never say never again! That's a red flag to a bull with me; I'm forced to spend the next ten minutes working out how to do it!

So no more, or I will be forced to /disagree with you again/. *YHBT! *;-)

I swear you come around to /my/ mailbox all hoity-toity telling me what I can and can not do with me own bloomin' cargo on my own currently imaginary launcher! The cheek of some people! <looks askance at the sky> ;-)

Now, you can take the aging vehicle out of revenue service, and put it
back in flight test; then you can crash it all you want. "Why do you
keep crashing that thing?" "We've been trying to wear one out.
Hallelujah, we've got data for O&M now." :-)

All joking aside, you're probably essentially right, but for a different reason; the cost of launch is likely to be very significant, the manpower and fuel are very significant costs, so it depends on whether you think the extra launch is a statistical win or loss; really every flight is a risk, you just have to play the odds as you understand them, that's all we can ever do.
