Minutes of ERPS General Meeting #282
06 May 2004

The President called the meeting to order at 8:07 PM. Members present were
Sean Lynch, Dave Masten, Pierce Nichols, Gerald Nordley and his wife Gayle,
Julie Porter, Adrian Tymes, and Chris Winter. John McGowan from the Mars
Society visited.

Reports and discussion on agenda items were as follows:

DOCUMENTATION
-------------
Chris Winter

The CD-ROMs were ready in the nick of time for Space Access. Chris picked
them up at the supplier on Wednesday, 21 April. He departed at 2:30 AM on
the 22nd, missing the traffic in the Bay Area, and arrived in Phoenix at
7:30 PM. Despite the lack of an ERPS party, three membership renewals and
five $20 donations resulted. So it was worth the effort. John Carmack and
Henry Spencer got complimentary CDs.

Pierce gave a report on Space Access '04, which was his first experience
of that excellent conference. At the risk of leaving something out, I
believe I can summarize his report thus:

                What's good at SA '04?
                A launch license to XCOR;
                JP Aerospace goes for
Sending a slow boat to or-
                bit, and much much more.

        Any questions?

Dave M gave a report on the ERPS panel. His assessment: it went well.

Pierce also reported that he, Dave M and Michael expect to attend the
COMSTAC meeting on May 20-21.

Gerry has a party room reserved at Baycon for Friday and Sunday nights.
Saturday is being worked on. He needs to know which night ERPS prefers for
its party.
