Minutes of ERPS General Meeting #287
15 July 2004
The Vice President called the meeting to order at 8:24 PM. Members present
were Dave Masten, Pierce Nichols, Gerry Nordley, Julie Porter, Adrian
Tymes, Dave Weinshenker and Chris Winter.

Flight control code continues to gain in capability. Dave M expects to
have Gizmocopter flying soon.
PROPELLANTS/SPARGER/FF

Pierce Nichols
Freezewheel Mark I performed successfully at the Rocket Ranch last
weekend. However, the result was unsatisfactory because the peroxide
feedstock had degraded for some reason while in storage. Dave W and Pierce
will attempt to discern the reason for this degradation at the Ranch next
weekend, and will seek to demonstrate procedure changes that mitigate its
effects.
Thanks to Dave W, we now have a handheld refractometer in our arsenal of
diagnostic tools. This excellent device permits much more rapid
determination of peroxide concentration, and with much smaller volumes of
product. (Dare I say it's tasty and expeditious?) An additional task this
coming weekend will be to calibrate its answers against the densitometer
we've relied on previously.
