Hi Jason, Please download this zip file from [1] and try to install that on to your local repo and rebuild the esb source. I agree there is an issue in building this version due to this corruption and will fix it ASAP.
What sort of an issue did you faced with the synapse and carbon sources? what version of the sources are you trying to build or is that svn root?
