Try setting DBCP to DEBUG using
"log4j.category.org.apache.commons./dbcp/=/DEBUG"/
first I need to remove a lot of confidential info from the logs.
the original exception is not visible in your log.. also you should
verify the following lines again:
at DBHandler.openConnection(DBHandler.java:57)
at DBHandler.mediate(DBHandler.java:79)
