The Secretary General of the United Nations in New York 2.. United Nations High Commisions for Refugees (UNHCR) in Geneve 3.. United Nations Representation in Jakarta Responding to the development of the latest situation of violence in Maluku which is currently very critical, where there have been burning down of Christian villages as well as the brutal killing of Christian people in Maluku, which are well organised and done systematically, even with the implementation of the state of civil emergency, WE, members of the Communion of Churches in Maluku, decided in our faith to: 1.. Request for the Human Rights Commision and the International Peace Keeping Force and the United Nations to be present immediately in Maluku because there have been severe cases of Human Rights violation, especially done by the members of the Indonesian military (TNI) towards the civilians, more severely after the imposing state of civil emergency. 2.. Request for United Nations High Commision for Refugees (UNHCR) to enter Maluku to evacuate hundreds of thousands of refugees, who are currently in a very poor condition, lack of security, food, clothing and medical supplies. This was caused by the burning of their homes and their entire villages. That the decision made has been carefully considered for humanitarian reasons, and more importantly to avoid even more victims. Thank you for your kind consideration and your help. Agreed, 1..
