hello, chlaire and all:I think whether honesty is the policy, it depends where you are, and what kind of person you and your friends are. for example, in USA, cause it's a big city, everybody don't have much time wasted on to guest what other people think, so they'd like friend to be honesty, say what they think out directly, that make sense. however, in China , people don't used to be told the true. if you first time meet a person, you say some point that he isn't good at , that maybe not policy. another example. man like the direct way to communicate, and women like to just listen the good words. that is my opinion.
