Hello Alberto Serdar Hani Ed and other curious cats, old or new,

Serdar,
Here's the metacafe link of the Taiwanese song,'the Lonely Bird in the
Tree' for those who can't have access to you tube links:
http://www.metacafe.com/watch/yt-rLxXJ-KIh7I/wu_bai_shu_zhi_gu_niao_live/

Alberto,
Oh my gosh,I just watched POOH on RTL 102.5!
That was my very first contact of Italian music about 20 years ago!LOL

Well,he began to sing about where his love went missing...
Why did he have to wait for his love impatiently?
And it went on as how he could live without his woman.
So he compared himself to 'the lonely bird in the tree.'LOL

Wu Bai has been popular for about 2 decades already.
Thank God,he is still around in the extremely commercialized music
industry of Taiwan!:)

Hani and Ed,
I listen to all music around the world though I don't understand
Portugese,Spanish,African,Arabic,Thai,Korean,Japanese,Italian,Icelandic,Norwegian,Swedish
and etc.
If I can understand the lyrics,it will definetly help me appreciate
their music more.
That's very true, but sometimes when you listen to musicians like Gipsy
Kings, you will undoubtfully be touched by their heartfelt voices and
emotions which is universal as Alberto said.

In the music world, all translations can be in vain. It's the heart that
rules,not the mind...;)
I suppose that's why music can nurture and heal our souls which no
other media can!
Ed,is that what you tried to explain to Hani earlier?;)

Good night,everyone!
I'll catch up with the rest of the discussions tomorrow.;)

Pauline
