Hello Oshiro Vera Jun Jason Eckman Charles and all the quiet mice,;) Vera,I understand perfectly your situation. It's hard to stay away from those kind of people as there are plenty of them. I myself had to put on a mask and squeeze a smile or two,too when I used to work for or with other women back home in Taipei.
Yeah,we had better look at the bright side of life telling ourselves people like those train us to be more patient and more tolerant!LOL Oshiro,I have never heard or known of such a company policy. I used to work for a branch of a well-known Japanese language academy, but they didn't have such a policy. Canadian colleagues of mine who worked in the headquarter in Tokyo never mentioned it,either. If such policy can increase employees' creativity or productivity, the consumption of alcohol must be stated within a limit. If it's on special occasions like employee's birthday, promotion, retirement, closures of some big business deals, etc.,why not?;) If they allow employees to drink beer, shouldn't they allow them to take drugs or smoke, too? Others may claim they help boost their creativity and productivity as well, may they not?LOL Here in Poland,I see people drink beer in the early morning, even in windy freezing winter!:( On the weekend,in the early afternoon,I can already see drunkards walking wabbly on the street... However,it isn't very often. Most of them are either homeless or middle- aged unemployed men. Great weekend to you,Oshiro and Jun! And Happy Moon Festival to all Chinese and Taiwanese members!(Jun,are you from China, too?:)) May you reunite with all your loved ones from far away and enjoy your precious night together watching the full moon. Pln(who just reunited with an old friend...exactly 20 years after we last met on Moon Festival's Eve!;)) On Oct 1, 4:53 am, Rafael Oshiro <[email protected]> wrote: > Hello Hani, Pln and all > > As you were talking about drinking I have a question for you all in this > group.
