FYI
I have asked the designer to make a lighter version of the templates.
I felt that at least the message box on the main page needed to be a
bit less dominant.
Will keep you posted as soon as I receive the new ones.

Any idea when we start getting the actual templates? Do we get them
all at once at the end or can we get a few earlier.

I like #6 too
If we're going for #3 for the home page and #6 goes well with that
for messages
Looking back at all the images I personally like #2 + #4 better ...
the white background I feel breathes nicely and feels lighter. Also
#2
has more round edges than the other options .. overall feels softer
...just a personal preference though
Thanks of getting this done Anne,

My vote is for #6.
But I will ask her to make a version where the blue is a bit
lighter, I
think the message box is a bit heavy.
Couple of things/answers:
1. I will ask the designer to make a template with icons instead
of "reply,
resend, conversation". It is easier to make a decision after we
have seen
what it looks like.
2. Tags will be entered using hashtags. This is the standard for all
micromessaging services as far as I know, and I don't think we
should try to
push for a different one.
3. Tags will be displayed inline in the messages as links (like
today).
Displaying links on a seperate line takes up too much screen
estate IMO.
4. The mockup only displays 4 messages, because it is only a
mockup. There
is no need for the designer to draw all messages.
Once the design is up and running, the message page will show all 40
messages, and the "older newer" links removed as we currently
don't support
pagination.

More thoughts:
I agree with Dick that the tags for a message should probably be
displayed in the message somehow, if this is possible without
cluttering everything up.
Also, is the intention to only display 4 messages per page? I don't
think that's going to work very well. Maybe more like 30. (Twitter
displays 20, for comparison.)

I like 6 and I like the single text box message entry and the
way the
pool selection is labeled "share with". We should probably not be
asking our users to learn what a "pool" is. Perhaps it should be
changed in the menu on the right as well, but to what?
I would prefer that we continue to let tags be entered using the
hashtag format rather than providing another field, though perhaps
this could be a configuration option. I would prefer it be
possible to
specify tags that do not appear in the action message through a
different UI, through actions, or through the API, rather than
in the
main UI.

Where are message tags displayed? I don't see any?
How do you add tags to a message? Just via hashtags? No extra
text
field?

Hi,
Next UI vote, this time for the message page template.
Nr. 4: http://www.joyreyes.com/clients/esme/4.html
Nr. 5: http://www.joyreyes.com/clients/esme/5.html
Nr. 6: http://www.joyreyes.com/clients/esme/6.html
Nr. 4 and 6 look very similar, the only difference is the grey
background
behind the messages.
