Most probably etherlab, because ethercat uses kbuild to install, which would copy the modules into the modules directory correctly.
etherlab does not install into standard modules, but rather to /opt/etherlab/modules Starting etherlab using # /etc/init.d/etherlab start loads them correctly, though, so you do not need to worry about the directory yourself.
