Thanks for your specification. See my notes and questions on the
"Discuss" page
of the refered article.
I have completed your discussion with my own notes and comments, let
me know what do you think.
Moreover, I would suggest to get and compare several existing
technologies.
Perhaps in a nice table.
* what levels the technologies are used on?
* how does object reference look like?
* how one gets object reference?
* what are well known objects, if there are any?
* how are messages passed?
* how are sessions handled?
* does it contain authentification mechanisms? if yes, what?
* what are advantages and disadvantages? (implementation problems,
speed,
compatibility, ...)
* what implementations exist and on what platforms?
* what other projects are using them?
* ...?
I don't know about very similar technologies, but there are somewhat
similar technologies like .Net CLR, CORBA, SOPE by Skyrix, and other
stuff inspired by WebObjects like Tapestry… There are probably others
I don't know about.
I must say I have no times to do such in depth comparison actually
but I would be interested by it I admit :-)
Quentin.
