Moreover, I would suggest to get and compare several existing technologies.
Perhaps in a nice table.
* what levels the technologies are used on?
* how does object reference look like?
* how one gets object reference?
* what are well known objects, if there are any?
* how are messages passed?
* how are sessions handled?
* does it contain authentification mechanisms? if yes, what?
* what are advantages and disadvantages? (implementation problems, speed,
compatibility, ...)
* what implementations exist and on what platforms?
* what other projects are using them?

* ...?
