Is there a good indenter / formatter for Objective-C ?
You have Xcode, emacs and vi with scripts.
I don't know a standalone one however, but I have recently found this
reference about indent NeXT version which seems to support Objective-C,
look at
<http://www.vorlesungen.uni-osnabrueck.de/informatik/shellscript/Html/
Man/_Man_NeXT_html/html1/indent.1.html>
From POC manual also
<http://www.orcsoftware.com/~ronny/
manual.html#SECTION00915000000000000000> :
« indent
There is a patch available (included with the compiler) for GNU indent
1.9.1, so that it works with OBJECTIVE-C. This can be used to format
OBJECTIVE-C programs using the various, commonly used indentation
styles. The compiler sources are indented with the following settings :
-kr -psl -i2 -bad -Tid -TBOOL -TSEL -TSTR »
I need to check for this patch. Anybody knows if it is still available ?
For sure, to have a flexible Objective-C beautifier would be welcome
(written in perl or other text oriented language probably).
Quentin.
