  It will take a while to finish.
  Since Lucene is going to release the 1.9 (now 1.9RC),
  I will port the basic classes in 1.4.3 and add the new one from 1.9
after it is released.
  Hope to catch up the Lucene 2.0 release.
  I do hope someone can port the org.apache.lucene.store part.
  It is not hard, just involve some low-leve java, which I am not familiar with,
  and other poart the lucene.* depend on it.

  I personally prefer BSD, but does it O.K. to change the original
Apache licene
  to BSD while porting an apache project ?
  Once it become BSD license, I think it can go to any other open
source licenses
  without any problem.
