looking at the cvs, I just realize that the applications are supposed
to go into /Services/Private and /Services/Developer ...
I think it would make a lot more sense to reorganize that like:
/Applications/Developer (== /Services/Developer)
/Applications/System (== /Services/Private)
/Applications/User (user apps)
Well, I'm ok with this layout, but I would just keep the 'Services'
name on developers side I mean in cvs ('Services' content would be put
in GNUstepWhateverFolder/Applications when installed), I would like to
keep like that because I like the "Environment services" way to talk,
it put the focus strongly on the "collaboration centric interaction
model"… Moreover it could be just the Étoilé cvs special touch, he ;-).
What's the rule for choosing a program category ? well, easy:
- Developer apps are.. well, developer apps :-)
- System apps are applications that are here to support/provide the
environment or set the computer, in short, to present a working system
to the user. So that's where you'll find the workspace, etc.
- User apps are the rest of apps. Not sure we need that right now, but
we'll see.
ok, I'm fine with that too.
