The font is the main thing. The colour probably should be the system- wide highlight colour. Yes, that would be strange. I don't know what to suggest to improve this; we could keep the handle at the bottom for all menus, even after detaching it, maybe? This would give us a visual clue to differentiate menus from other windows, but I don't know if it's actually sensible.
