Ubuntu should work - Quentin uses it, so he's the person to bug with problems there. I switched to FreeBSD after a few years of using Linux because I was frustrated with sound not working properly[1] and with needing to install millions of things that I never used by default. You'll find the documentation on FreeBSD much better than any Linux distribution, but it's always a matter of personal taste, and if you prefer the SysV way of doing things then you'll likely find any BSD quite frustrating. David [1] This was almost ten years ago, and it seems that the situation on the Linux side hasn't improved much. -- Sent from my Apple II _______________________________________________ Etoile-dev mailing list Etoile-dev@gna.org https://mail.gna.org/listinfo/etoile-dev
