IIRC, GNUstep doesn't support drawing to images, yet.  The way it
seems to be done in most programs currently, AFAICT, is to add a view
to the AppIcon window (see the -(NSWindow*)iconWindow method in
NSApplication), and draw to that view as normal.

Wrong, GNUstep support (1) drawing to image -- focus the image, draw
on the context, unfocus, voila. :-)

OK, good to know. I think that it didn't work the last time I tried it (art backend as well).
