I'm thinking of your prototype that can be teared-off. Just like teared off menus. Should it be able to do that? If so, how?
I was thinking that it should/would be possible to have more than one tab open so they would just line up vertically side by side. The way i'd optimise the screen space used is to have the content cover the smallest space horizontally but have the whole vertical space of the screen.
