Most of my applications tend to use up all space on the y-axis but
left space unused on the x-axis. This is due to the fact that most
applications are document-based. Therefore space on th y-axis is
more valueable than space on the x-axis. Conclusion: This should be
configurable :-)
I'm not against such option :-) It's true it depends on your activity
and your habit.
