Hello,
I created and uploaded a few diagrams:

I'll be making some more after I start getting feedback.
check http://weblogs.media.mit.edu/llk/scratch/ , it's interesting
Neat! Must have that :-)
On the other hand ... Automator's granularity of larger actions is quite
sufficient. What is missing is branching and loops. Perhaps workflow.app
should combine branching and loops with StepTalk scripts later...
Workflow.app will have 'large' actions, and will also be extendable
(with StepTalk?). It will also give access to 'smaller' commands. It
will be possible for the user to make their own, even 'larger', actions
to be used with any of their workflows.
Another thought:
One of the reasons of making Workflow.app object oriented is better
integration with Etoile. Eventually it should be possible to drag an
object from the current project into the workflow view. In this way the
user can interact with the current project and its objects more easily.
An object which could be dragged into the workflow may include an
Application (STEnvironment?) to talk to.
Another note:
I think using a procedural workflow would be better than a 'bunch of
objects in a basket' with connections drawn between them. The later
would probably end up having problems with displaying connections, and
will be harder to use for a novice.
Thanks,
Isaiah Beerbower
