Dankseed certification also includes the process of finding the best
possible source.
It is much more than just the transfer of the DAT, and any sources are
welcome. Finding
the best source is often a much more exhaustive process that the danking of
the seed.
Dankseeds was also started to help "repair" flawed seeds that were already
in circulation.

I always get a chuckle when I see a text file with the powerful
language: "dankseed certification given on xx/xx/2000" or whatever.
Then the criteria that brother crow so aptly explains are listed. But
why isn't there ever any discussion in the so-called "dankseed" process
as to How the Tape Sounds? Admittedly, all of the criteria a tape must
undergo to receive this "certification" is good stuff to take note of,
but how can something be a "dankseed" without even a comment on the
overall quality of the recording?

It seems that you could have a tape from a rig that was set up in the
bathroom of the club that might sound like crap but still pass the
"dankseed certification process." I don't mean this as too much of a
jab at the dankseed folks (I am 100% confident that they are trying to
let people know that a "dankseed" can safely be downloaded as a good
source), but I'd like to hear what they have to say about this.
