You need to relax.
If you shn>wav>shn there is absolutely no loss.
If you shn>wav>cdr>eac>wav>shn there may be loss.

Get your facts straight brother and don't get all bent out of shape.
It's only music and the losses you are talking about are most likely 
inaudible anyway (even if I agree completely that EAC should be avoided 
when possible and archiving original shns is the best way to go).

BTW-- "rip" means "pulling audio off a cd.
Converting a wav to shn is something completely different.
Ripping a cd can and often does result in wav files that can be shn'ed 
and will match the md5's of the shns that disk was originally made 
from--with proper offsets and EAC--many do it all the time.

Again, I agree with you.  Archive shn files.  Avoid EAC when possible 
(but use it if you need to rip audio).

But don't have a stroke about a zero or a one on a cdr.  Life is too 
short.
