We truly don't know yet.
2 or 3 years?
It's 20 or 30 years I'm worried about.

I follow the same lesson I learned from my Tape trading days.
I paid a little extra for Maxells and 20 years later they still sound good.
(properly cared for of course)

Cheaper tapes (Memorex,etc.) turned to dust years ago.
I think it's worth a few extra bucks just for the peace of mind.
