If the source as listed in the txt file matches the source as listed 
in the db, then I think you have to assume the db is right and yours 
may or may not be. I'd revise the lineage to reflect that, e.g.

dat > wav > shn

would change to

dat > wav > (?) > shn


OTOH, if you know for a fact that your lineage is right, you might 
want to add the alternate version to the db.
