According to their press releases, the most recent from mid-2000:
'Kodak is a world-leading CD-R manufacturer, with
a design and development center in Rochester, N.Y.,
and disc production facilities in Youghal, Ireland,
and Guadalajara, Mexico.'
The one in Mexico is called Matsushita Media Manufacturing LLC,
a wholly owned subsidiary of Kodak.
I read that at Kodak's website:
http://www.kodak.com/country/US/en/corp/pressReleases/pr19990812-05.shtml
I would still like to get a reference to your point about Kodak Japan.
Where did you get that information, and can I get the URL?
All 28 of Kodaks manufacturing plants around the world passed ISO 14001
certification in November, 2001, which is an environmental certification.
They are causing less damage to our ecology than they were in 1996,1997,1998,
when most of the controversy came to a head. They still produce large
quantities of dioxin, unfortunately, from their incinerator at Kodak Park, NY.
Regards,
Matthew
