problems with mounting file system on floppy

I'm using SUSE 6.3, and recently after initial bootup the floppy mounting
will work fine, but when I try to umount and then mount a new floppy (even
in new mount points) I end up with the same listing from the previous
floppy. Only a reboot will get it working right again (and only for a few
times).

I'm using the following syntax:


mount -t vfat /dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy (or wherever)

and

umount /mnt/floppy  (or wherever)


Has anyone else run into this?
