Consider this an incentive to learn Linux (where this sort of
thing is pretty unheard of).
We really do realise Windows is more than a bit insecure. We do
not blame you, nor feel this gaffe deliberate.
If you feel really paranoid, skip Linux and get OpenBSD,
apparently the choice of spooks. Myself, I'm content with Linux. Stay on
the list and you may well be too.
More than likely, whatever distribution of Linux (Or FreBSD, or
NetBSD, or even OpenBSD) you end up using will have a mailing list or
newsgroup (usually more than one) associated with it, which is a very good
resource to check out. Eug-lug has the advantage of being local, and I've
found that useful. Also, it's a pretty nice bunch of people. Forgiving,
too.
