Anyone out there using vmware?
Question, I know that it says it is "100% compatible" with windows...
but how does it handle periferals? Does it require that the the
underlying linux system recognizes the periferals too? I can't
quite envision how it's able to talk directly to the periferals
if there's another linux operating system between it and them.
Most of my pc work is music-related. Cakewalk, Finale, etc. But
believe me, if I could do without the windows stuff, I would. If
I convert it to a linux box and just run vmware on top, would the
vmware'd win98 still recognize all my external devices the same
way they do now? DVD/ROM, cd burner, two soundcards, midi inputs,
etc...?
