Dial up

Sorry for having to ask this again but I'm having trouble with my ppp.  I am
running Redhat 6.0.  I had it dialing in to an account over a break in my
home town.  But I know am trying to dial in to the school. the modem dials,
and I have the dns addresses changed to the correct numbers. but it won't
connect. It rings, communicates at first sits for about 5 to 10 seconds,
then disconnects and tries again... can anyone help me out a bit?
