Well.. It sort of helps... The biggest difference (from your
perspective) is the packages. SuSE Full install (6 cd's) will take up
8Gigs of hard disk space, Mandrake 7 Full install is under 2G. If your
unsure what your needs are, and you have a big disk, try out suse... There
are lots of applications, and you can try them all, and figure out what
you need. If you just want to dabble, and dont want to commit to 8 gigs
(and spend the whole afternoon installing software...) then try mandrake,
you will probably spend a lot less time installing, and you can get right
on to doing something!
