Slackware install via NFS.

Has any one done a Linux install via NFS.. specifically, between a Win98
box and a Linux machine?  The install files live on the Windows box.  I'm
running a supposed NFS server on the Windows machine, but the Slackware
install routine can't do the mount after the IP address of the windows box
(and the directory) are specified.  Any ideas?  The target machine is a
laptop with no CD rom, and a small HD, so NFS is my only option.
