fairly new to this game so can't help much, but...

i regularly install slackware via NFS on old 3/486's with no
problems.  but this is always slackware-slackware and not windows to
slackware (isn't slack hard enough w/o putting windoze in the
equation... :-).  how do you have your network set-up between them? I
usually set-up as follows:

NSF server: 10.0.2.1
instal machine: 10.0.2.3
gateway: 10.0.2.1
netmask: 255.255.255.0

The problems I usually have with this is configuring two NIC's under the
NFS box (eth0, eth1) and allowing it to recognize the 10.0.2.3 IP.  Other
then that it was always been a breeze.
