I currently have ALL:ALL in hosts.lpd and still not working.  This machine
is located in the university net so nothing has changed relative to the
network assignments, on a static IP.

OK, that makes sense.  I also think the problem is from the print queue to
the printer, though don't know where.  Could there be a problem with lpd
spawning the child process to print?
