Unh-hunh...my netscapes usually die before they get too big.  Usually
most of the memory that netscape chews up seems to wander into swap
space and stay there, doing not much harm to the rest of the system.
Unfortunately, every now & then some web site will cause it to spin
through the paged out stuff, reducing the system to a crawl. :(

One possibly-useful trick--not yet tried--is to reduce Netscape's
memory cache to zero.  Since Linux caches disk i/o in memory anyway,
this may reduce netscape swap usage without noticeably affecting
performance.  Or maybe not.
