Agreed.  I assume you have an appropriate grafix card -- it wouldn't be
performing at all without that...
so win98 q3a: was it slow?? did it crash??
The only linux boxen I have seen running fps games
are pumped and use a GeForce, which I don't yet have.
I agree that win98(se) is a gaming OS.  I think linux
can do it just fine, but getting it right would involve
various performance tuning like hdparm and latency reduction!!
