I had time to kill tonight waiting for a movie, and I went into the
local MicroCenter. I saw a shrinkwrap box called Linux for Windows.
It was published by MacMillan and created by Mandrake. It appeared to
be similar to Demo Linux -- a bootable CD-ROM. But this one cost
money.
As Larry Wall once said:
You've got to understand [ActiveState's] market has always
been the Windows space, where you're actually doing people a
favor by charging them money for things, because that's the
only way to keep from confusing them.
