I am having some problems getting my visor to sync using only the usb cable (not the usb cradle that it came with)... and am wondering if anyone has any experience with this or knows where documentation might be. I have seen the regular howto's but it seems not covered(?) Maybe someone knows if the "hotsync" button, which I believe to be the key component, is simply a switch on which line (that I could simply hack onto the cable)?? The idea being that the cradle is far too cumbersome for mobile use, with laptop or other usb device. Currently things seem to work, up to the point of needing to send the sync request from my handspring visor, and the software signal doesn't seem to cut it! I should at least be able to get a terminal session while connected, right? Humph, I'm tired of using the windoze update and am ready for a more integrated solution.
