"Stateful" is such an unwieldy word.  I prefer "stately."  As in,
"AppleTalk AFP is a stately file transfer protocol".

As for freesco, I read the web site, and it looks a lot more expert
oriented than Coyote.

I'm continuing to improve the home network.  I'm gradually figuring
out not to stick services on the firewall -- I set up a djbdns
server on a different machine, and last night I got dynamic DNS
working, with automatic updates, on a different machine.  In
both cases, it seemed like they should be on the firewall since
they're network services.  But they shouldn't.
