Is the eug-lug linux day list up yet?
Things still to be done:
1.find a place to hold it
tim was going to ask red lion, i'm trying to find out if the EMU
would be willing to host it.
other possibilities:
Valley River Center, or Gateway Mall
LCC
EWEB
Downtown Events Mgmt. has some space downtown
Mcnail-Riley house? (just across from the fairgrounds)
if you have any other suggestions, or want to take ownership of asking one
of the above...
2.What are we going to do? it might be a good idea if we had a list of
who, what,when. for presentations etc.
3.I floated the idea of trying for some sort of theme for the linux day
my suggestion was sort of "History of Computing" y'know Turing's B,day,
Linux a natural outgrowth of, show off your dinosaurs, etc. etc.
but i'm the only one who seemed to think it was a good idea.
4.Contacting potential sponsors, Speakers, etc. RH, Linuxcare, IBM...
anyone want to own this one? Should we make a list and divvy it up?
We should aim to have contacted them >6weeks before the event
